I've never used remote desktop, in fact I have it completely disabled I'm
not even sure if it's accessible. I have HRD on my computer at home with the
server enabled and Skype with a second screen name from my usual one, with
only my primary one able to connect, set to auto answer. Then I use my
netbook at my girlfriend's house with hrd, and skype on my primary name and
it seems to work pretty well. I do find if I try it from other places,
having the port open is hit or miss but beyond that, I haven't had many
issues lately though I used to have a lot of connection issues.
