I am on a GF and SCD (Specific Carbohydrate Diet) for celiac disease and for
bacterial overgrowth. After having an appendectomy, I've been having
problems with an inflamed/spasming muscle near my naval. It was recommended
by the doctor that I take 2 NSAIDs, 3 times daily for 5 days. I can't recall
where I thought I read it, but I thought I read that I shouldn't take NSAIDs
either because of the celiac disease or the bacterial overgrowth (or maybe
both). Does anyone else know if you can take NSAIDs, and if so, which ones
are the best (would cause the least problems)?
If I can't take them, the doctor then recommended steroid treatment, which I
am also reluctant to do. Any info on this would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Lori
