Hello Peter,

Thank you for your reply to my question.  I really appreciate the info and suggestion you offered.

The second and third burners, as with the Samsung, came thru the mail.  Rough handling may have occurred during shipment.  And, my wife likes to listen to CD's while playing on-line games a couple hours every night(multi-tasking).  I tried to blame her for the failures, but, one never wins such arguments.

I don't know if it will make any difference, but I intend to install the Samsung in the open bay using that bay's cables.
