Thank you to Peter Ekkerman for providing the answer to downloading drivers
from Microsoft. Normally drivers that are not part of the Windows 7 install
disk need to be downloaded each time an install is done. By downloading the
needed drivers it is possible to create an install disk that includes these
extra drivers. For those of us doing installs at various times, this is a
big help.

 

Paul suggested looking at printer properties, but that only allows updating
of the driver, but does not provide for backing it up. Derek suggested the
Double Driver program, but it does NOT create backups of PRINTER drivers. It
is great for saving other system drivers though.
