If you go into the Control Panel/Computer Management/Device Manager/Mice and
other devices and click on whatever your touchpad is named, go into Advanced
Properties and set the sampling rate slower that what it is now. I've got a
HP Pavilion running XP Home with a Synaptic touchpad that the sampling rate
is set to 100. I speak from experience here, since my touchpad did the exact
same thing when I first got it. No need to look for a new driver or
anything.

Subject: [PCBUILD] touchpad
I went to the Toshiba site as suggested and tried to download a new driver
for my Toshiba laptop running Windows XP Pro (Satellite A15-S129). All I can
find that is even close even with a model-specific search is an A55-S129
model. Can I download and install that driver instead. My cusor (which is
REALLY a CURSER!) is still jumping all over the page when I type and I have
to cut and paste all the time. Please help.
