Hi all-
Blue Cross Blue Shield is changing their categorization of Aciphex,
which our daughter takes daily for acid reflux, so that we will need
to pay in excess of $200/month instead of $35/month. They suggest
the following as alternatives:
generic for Prilosec
generic for Protonix
Kapidex
generic version of Prevacid that is anticipated before the end of 2009.

Has anyone had any experiences with any of these or others that you
would recommend? Our daughter needs a medication that is both gluten
and dairy-free.

We tried switching to a generic form of Aciphex which cost $120 for
30 pills. Although it was dairy and gluten-free, it made her nauseous.

Thanks and, of course, I will summarize.
