Well, Steve, I am afraid to say it but the slippery slope is alive and
well.

Sometimes, I don't know how the XYL puts up with it, so I guess I'd better
get the dog house ready just in case!

You know, they're calling for a possible major snow storm out here toward
the middle of the week.

They say that in our part of Colorado, since there are so many sunny days,
people just stay at home if the weather gets too bad, and let the snow melt
off the streets when the sun returns.

That sounds kind of appealing to me right about now, although I don't have
any boots yet.

Oh my, did I say boots?

Hmmmmmmm: Hopefully that won't cut too much into the ham radio budget.

Back to the dog house, the only reason I probably haven't landed there yet
is that the XYL is a ham, so there's still the chance for salvation!

P.S. Thanks for reminding me about IRC's. You know, it's kind of like the
Zulu time; sometimes my brain just goes on vacation during the week-ends!
(grin)

Ah, the slippery slope. First it was 2 480's, then a new antenna, next a
tuner, then maybe an amp. Now you want to spend a few bucks on a QSL card
you can't see? Hope your doghouse is insulated. Bring a blanket out with
you. I hear it's cold in Colorado at night.

BTW, while I haven't dealt with them in many years, they were called
International Reply Coupons (I.R.C.'s). Don't know if they are still
around or how much they are used.
