I think that was the element from the QST project you mentioned.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to it at the time. Then I read something on 
the AM Phone site that said this element is flat from 30 to 15000 HZ, and 
produces amazingly good audio.

There's another microphone project in April QST that used an element removed 
from an old camcorder, so I figured this one could be substituted.
