Hi,
I bought an Acer Aspire 5732Z about a couple of years ago and it
developed a problem with the DVD player. Once the company I bought it
from knew I had a problem within the warranty period I found I could not
log into my account to get the repair booked in -- this may have been a
coincidence but I got so frustrated that I bought a new notebook.
My daughter needs a laptop to enable her to work from home and I would
like to let her have the Acer. I think I would need to format the hard
drive but I don't think the machine came with any discs, (or I can't
find them at the moment). Is there any way to format the hard drive and
then re-install the o/s, (windows 7 home premium). I don't think I could
access the internet without an o/s, and then there will be the problem
of loading the drivers!
Perhaps I could clear all my old stuff but then I would have the
intermittent dvd which I think is a software problem.
I will have another look for any discs but I don't recall any. I wonder
if anyone has got any ideas how I can restore this machine?
Regards,
John.
