One of the most popular New Year's resolutions is to lose weight.
Hence diets become a popular topic in the media at this time. It was
two year's ago that the NY Times had their paleo article. This year
their article is:

The Fat Trap
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/01/magazine/tara-parker-pope-fat-trap.html

From the first page: "Nutritionists counseled them in person and by
phone, promoting regular exercise and urging them to eat more
vegetables and less fat. But despite the effort, they slowly began to
put on weight. After a year, the patients already had regained an
average of 11 of the pounds they struggled so hard to lose. They also
reported feeling far more hungry and preoccupied with food than
before they lost the weight."

The article is very long. I did not bother to read past the first
page. Clearly they don't get it. It is really unfortunate that
hundreds of millions of people are being misled as to what to eat.

Don.
