Troy,
Allow me to play the devil's advocate here.
Isn't drinking distilled water as unnatural as eating refined foods? Where
would our ancestors have obtained distilled water? Would they have had
such problems with minerals building up in the arteries?

I've been drinking distilled water for quite a while now. I started to do
so after reading a book on the subject of water. I can't remember the name
of the book or the author, but his basic idea was that the the body can
only assimilate minerals from the water contained in foods. He stated that
minerals in water cannot be assimilated by the body and can even build up
in the arteries. He also claimed that drinking distilled water would draw
out any unusable and potentially dangerous minerals already present in the
body.
