I hear the fears, their will be unintended consiquences, both good and bad.
More of routine and primary health care will be provided by health educators
and nurses. We have a Dr./God culture, where we expect Dr.'s to heal rather
than advize us. Change is always scarey. People fought against unions,
minimum wage, banking reform, the end of slavery, ending child labor, civil
rights, environmental protection, and many other changes that today those
positions are undeffensible. We'll have to see, and modify the system as we
go. The sad thing is this is a bad solution, because the issue of cost
containment, isn't addressed. We have very difficult issues to address as a
society, and an environment which is seen as Satin versus the Messiah, which
is which depends on which side of the isle you are on. This kind of
attitude lead to the bund, and millions of Jews being left to die in Europe,
because of the opposition to opening our doors to them. It took Pearl
Harbor to get us in to that War, if that attack hadn't happened, it isn't
inconceavable, that all of Europe would be speaking German today. The fear
belittlement, and polarization are the greatest enemies we face today.
Everybody is trying to do what is best for the country, or at least that is
what we pay them to do. We don't pay them to keep or to get their own
political party in to power.
