Not a good day for my ICOM 746Pro to quit. Was planning to work UHF on 2
meter sideband, 220, and 440. Transmits 1/2 second on FM then chatters on
and off.
Since it is not "blind user friendly" and I have lost a lot of vision in the
last 5 years, I am debating on whether to get it repaired, or sell it as is
and invest what it would more than likely cost for repair. For the first
option, would someone suggest a reasonable repair center and your experience
with them. If I get a replacement, it might be a friendly UHF base or
mobile with as much access as possible. What's out there now?
