if you get one of the portible/vehicle units, it'll have an FM transmiter
built in that you can set to an FM broadcast band frequency of your choice.
It'll also have an audio output jack to run direct into your home stereo or
boom box or whatever.
I'm not sure the home units always have an FM transmitter built in.
the nice thing about the car units is that they always have an external
antenna, so you can place it at home or on the vehicle for best signal
reception.
