Hi List:

Well my FT-450AT arrived yesterday and I have to say it's a dandy little rig.
I really believe that Yaesu considered the blind ham when designing this little rig.
There's allot of tacktiles such as hard plastic protrusions between the buttons.
The buttons are round and require some considerable pressure to activate, they're not touchy at all.
The 2 voice announcement options do work although I'm using the default, which announces freq and mode while the Moni is set to use the VS/CS button when pressed by it self.
I also have the select knob set to access the RF power adjustment when pressed and each click of the select knob when turning reduces or increases the power by 1 watt.
Sited assistance is required to set everything up in the menus of course but once done, you can forget it. Pressing and holding the DSP button for one sec allows access to the eq. You press the select knob, Key up and cycle your select knob through the settings and you can hear your audio through the Moni change.
I have it left at 0 and have the MD-100 configured instead with the 3 switches on the bottom.
All in all, I think this is a grate little rig and I look forward to going out to the shack tm and putting it on the air.
I'll certainly post more as I learn.
