the digits on the microphone keypad don't become DTMF functions when in FM
mode or when using 6, 2 or 70CM?
that is very odd.
Is there not a menu setting to turn them on or anything?
Or a switch on the microphone to turn them on?
I guess it's probably something like kenwood not making the keypad on the
ts2000 DTMF capable with a setting...one of the biggest irritants of that
radio.
You can program DTMF memories and have them spit out the right tones with a
preset button press, but you can't use the telephone style keypad on the
radio to manually enter DTMF tones.
