The reason is because there are so many buttons on the front of the
radio. I have to be careful or I get off a row and wind up punching the
wrong button. This little box sets on top of the rig and looks just
like a touch tone phone keypad. I can enter frequencies and or memories
much quicker with n worries about hitting something I don't want to. I
love it, just like I did my stone mountain box when I had the 440.
Different strokes and all that I suppose.
