We don't get much lightning here, but even when I lived back in Kansas, I 
never used feed throughs, I just disconnected from the radio.  Only two 
times I got hit I didn't have anything disconnected.  Once, I thought the 
storm was long gone, but one came out of the back of the cloud and got me.
