Well, John, it's a work computer, and I know they completely reformat
them before giving them to someone, so maybe that explains it.
They also don't like us to use internet explorer and outlook express because
of security concerns, but I have convinced them that this is the most usable
with Jaws, at least for my personal e-mail.
As it is, I'm pretty much forced to use Thunderbird for work e-mail, and
don't want to have to use it for my personal e-mail as well.

the computer didn't come with outlook express? that's almost impossible, if
it has vista it's windows mail, same thing. But it almost has to have one or
the other unless someone did some real work with it.
