He doesn't have any kind of Internet connection except for his girlfriend's laptop.  I might be able to convert them into World files if they are formatted such that I can do that.

  have one of those radios, very nice.  If he runs or she runs dos, readit 
  is the ticket for reading these files.  I've never seen a windows 
  equivilent.
