    Steve:

Well, whether or not I ever get a Heil Gold Line, I need to play around more
with the TX eq settings on the Ts480.

That will happen on some rainy or snowy day when I don't have anything else
to do.

I keep hoping a day like that will come, but not so far! (grin)

Hi Tom,

I know your 480 and the 2000 I have are different animals, but I do run a
Gold line on the 2000 and always get unsolicited reports of great audio.
It's a bit expensive, but comes with a desk stand and 6 foot cable.

Got mine free as a promotion when I bought the rig back in 2001, and have it
set up on a homebrew boom made from an old desk lamp.

I know the 480's tx audio bandwidth can't go as wide as the 2000, and I'm
not sure of the tx eq on the 480. I've found that proper setting of the tx
eq makes a tremendous difference in audio quality.
