I've heard them with the gold line mic, sounds good, but then what doesn't 
with that mic? If they used the mc-60 with a shielded cable between the base 
and the mic, that problem wouldn't be there but I have made mine work on my 
TS-2000 when I have to. I just have to go easy on the settings and keep all 
preamp in the mic and processing off which is the only way to run a kenwood 
radio I find anyway.
