It shows com 4 in device manager and com 4 is checked in the Kenwood
program. When I write the data to the radio it says connection time out.
You may be right about the adapter, but from what I just read on the Kenwood
page XP is the most recent OS supported. Any thoughts?

Blake,
Do you see the usb port in the Port section of Device Manager? What
port is assigned to it? Be sure the cable is connected to a usb port or it
wont show.

Next, is the Kenwood software set to use that assigned port?

We might get this figured out faster if you tell us what you see or have

done.

I saw Elvis. He sat between me and Bigfoot on the UFO.
