While using the speaker out  to send audio to the pc  is ok,  you will find 
it a lot better to  do the audio in and  out via the 13 pin din jack on the 
rear of the rig.  You can set the audio in and out levels  via menu 
settings.   This lets  the radio's internal speaker and volume control 
operate normally and has no effect on the audio going to the pc.
