Rick, the top has 8 screws.  Take the top off, and bathe the rod and roller 
wheel with contact cleaner.  It may also be called tuner cleaner, and comes 
in a spray can with one of those skinny tubes that always get lost.
The dummy load is on the 6 position switch, where the pointer end is at 9 
o'clock.
