Phil,

With JFW 9 and 10, I have sometimes encountered a seemingly blank page 
similar to what you describe.  I've been able to cure the problem by either 
pressing the Escape key, refreshing the screen with Insert+Escape, or doing 
both.  I haven't figured out what causes the problem, but those fixes have 
worked for me.
