The point is not just microwaves, it's microwaves in the post-Pleistocene world. I have a page on my website that identifies over 20 ways in which life today differs from human life in our palaeolithic past. Some of these are quite significant, others less so, but even the least significant could take an individual over a "tipping point" - a point he or she would not have reached were it not for that additional burden on their genome and its phenotype.
