But if you buy your meat from a local butcher while getting your fruit and
veg at the same time then your carbon footprint will be even lower.

Why? If you drive your car 100 miles round trip to pick up meat you will
have created a much higher carbon footprint than having a package shipped
inside a tractor trailer truck 2000 miles.
