Hi,
I stopped using the microwave when I tended Paleo - in the end I found
defrosting in a bowl of cold water much less hassle than trying to
defrost and without cooking the food with the microwave - rest of the
cooking gets done on the stove or in the oven. I'd read too many bad
things about the effect of microwaves on food and the issue of
avoiding hot/cold spots, etc.
