Ken,
Thanks for the clarification. I had been using a whey protein powder from Dr. Mercola's web site. I was happy w the product. It is made from milk of grass fed cows and contains no casein to my knowledge.
Cheers,
Robin

Such confusion is not uncommon. When I first read Paleo Diet, I fired off an
email to Cordain on that very topic. He clarified the matter, noting casein
is the culprit to avoid.
Whey is a relatively new supplement, one brought to us thanks to
environmental protection laws. Whey used to be dumped into sewage systems,
providing an exceptional food media for bacterial growth. Once dairies could
no longer dump it, they found how to dehydrate and isolate it - close to 20
years ago the first whey products emerged.
