I think that foreign proteins are beyond the scope of this book. To me, it
seems like his focus is a contrast of lock step thinking concerning fats on
our health with the scientifically supported but ignored affect of refined
carbohydrate consumption on health.

I love this book. It's intensive reading, but solid. I'll say again that
Taubes gets half the story. He seems to miss entirely the role of "foreign
proteins" in disease --
