I'm not sure certain seed oils require all that much technology.  Bang or rub sesame seeds between two rocks, let the resulting paste sit in an ostrich shell or hollow rock until the oil rises to the top, and skim it off.

Now if you are talking corn, soy or wheat germ oil, you're absolutely right.  But nuts or oily seeds are quite simple to extract oil from.
