EPOC = extended postworkout oxygen consumption. Keeping close to breathless
akin to a sprinter doing all out on the straight away portion of a track,
then walking the curves, breathing never quite returns to normal. If you

Al Sear's PACE is a version. Sear's is a remarkable marketing guy. Havintg
said that, I submit the science and coaching offers many more options.
I doubt our Paleo ancestors encoding our genetic blueprint had the luxury of
12 minute hunter/gatherer sessions. Nor do their contemporary counterparts -
special forces in the field and astronauts in space. My work aims at
bridging disparate disciplines loaded with data as specialists (a specialist
is someone who knows more and more about less and less, then speciously
generalizes!!!).

major problem regarding human chemistry is what is it normalized or
standardized to? sedentary qua sedate persons? my times with native peoples
suggests they don't have a Day Planner, a scheduling caleandar, instead
working like crazy day by day to put meat on the table. In Buddhism, the
word 'sangha' - usually rendered as 'the community' in fact derives from 'a
hunting party' - get up early, get out of Dodge, bring home the bacon,
organs, the whole hog. What kinda effort is involved? little 12 minute
sessions? seriously doubt that. instead, as with variable training, i
propose it's a day to day deal, making varied demands on fitness for
survival. if true, that blueprint has been handed down to us. accordingly,
what's appropriate? Cordain's book with Tom Friel is great as far as it
goes, but it's a high endurance model - cycling, marathoning - as if our
ancestors did high endurance sport with mamoths? I suspect they were more
akin to high HIIT models.
