Hi Dorothy,

It might have been set for a different language (like UK).

Try this, go to the start menu and click on "Control Panel". In the control
panel, double click "Regional and Language Options".
In the applet that starts, click on the "Language" tab, and then the
"Details" button. There should be a drop down menu under "Default input
language", click on it and make sure that "English (United States) - US is
selected.
Click "OK" to accept the changes.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Changing a keyboard

Can someone tell me how I can change a keyboard seting? My frien Hello

Can someone tell me how I can change a keyboard seting? My friend has a lap
top which, when pressing shift and 2, the @ comes up with double quotes
instead. This is most annoying when typing in email addresses.
