HI Guys,
I have a sort of prayer request, but I’m not quite sure how to put it.
I’m sure that Carol and Phil will be great at sorting me out though,
especially Carol, since I know that she is familiar with ALPHA.
We’ve been doing ALPHA at our church since September, for our
congregation, and it has been going over pretty well. The talks that had
our people the most nervice were the ones on the holy spirit. It’s not
that our people don’t believe in the holy spirit, it’s that they are more
comfortable talking about it, than inviting Him to really come among
them. After the talks, there was some prayer, but there was more fear
than anything else. Everyone seemed relieved that it was over. How sad. I
wasn’t there, but I heard about it from Greg later. Anyway, this Sunday
they will be hearing about healing. Afterwords, we are planning on
conducting a healing service, a first for our people. I just know that
our people could do so much in god’s hands if they would just let go and
let God. Maybe what I am asking is that the spirit of fear would be
banished and that faith, and letting go, would really begin.
I’d like it if sometime we would talk about healing here too. I don’t
mean theory, or what the bible says, but personal experience. Maybe I’ll
be brave and start the questioning, but not now.
