i do not know about talk shows and such in the U.s., but over here we 
get some of these shows where people who have problems are basically 
exposed. Maybe outing themselves might make them feel better for a 
time but it does not help their problems.

I consider counseling eessions to be somethingconfidential and find 
it unethical to have someone listen in on those.

  I can understand that others might benefit from someone else's 
experience but I do not think that should be done by having them 
eavesdrop on an actual counseling session.

if others are to learn from a case, a case report can be done or even 
a dramatization of a case with actors portraying the client and names 
and circumstances changed sufficiently to preserve the client's 
privacy and anonymity.
