       I need some advise from this technically knowledgeable group ... 
  Let me first explain the situation I am in:
  I have 2 computers that I will call PC-A and PC-B; both running XP Home edition. PC-A is an HP Pavilion a367c, PC-B was home built by an expert. Both were working without problems, using them everyday.
   
       PC-A is connected to a DSL wireless router via D-link DWL-122 wireless adapter, PC-B was connected via cable.
  Later I needed to move PC-B to a more convenient location, but not being able to use the cable connection, I decided to use a wireless adapter (NETGEAR MA111) which I already had.
       
       Following the instructions that came with the MA111 adapter, I installed the driver software first, then connected the MA111 to the USB port ... the PC did recognized the new hardware ... but soon after, the computer locked-up. Although I was able to move the cursor, I was not able to click to do anything ... I forced to power the computer off and tried to reboot.
  From then on, PC-B became a dead machine, not able to boot .. black screen and no bips during the bootup ...  the only sign of activity was a green flashing LED on the DVD player and the HD activity light constantly on.
   
       Obviously the installation of the MA111 software had a fatal effect on the otherwise working PC. I tried everything I could think of ... I also made it a simple machine with only the HD connected with the same results. 
  However, I was able to get into the BIOS and change the boot sequence (CD first) and worked only once ... subsequently I lost the ability to use a bootable CD or floppy as well.
       
       My goal is to get the MA111 driver off the HD ... not simply deleting its folder, but to uninstall it and clean the registry. Thinking that once that software is gone. PC-B will start to work  normally again.
   
       Next I took the hard drive off the dead machine (PC-B) and connected it to the working one (PC-A) via USB cable. The attached HD works fine, I could list all the files and directories on it including the MA111 driver and associated files. 
   
  ... and now comes the question .... 
   
  Using PC-A, how can I uninstall and clean everything associated with MA111 off the attached HD?
  Every time I try anything, the host PC-A acts on its own HD and not on the attached HD. 
  How can I tell the Host computer to act on the attached HD (drive E) to uninstall or do anything?
   
  I hope this long explanation is not confusing and that someone could suggest a way to do what I want ... any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
