Hi, all.
Tom Behler: KB8TYJ here.
Today, two guys from the Boulder Amateur Radio Club (BARC) came and finished
the antenna installations that I can reasonably do for the small house we
are renting out here in Louisville, CO, near Boulder.
I have a Diamond X200a antenna up for VHF/UHF, and the Alpha Delta DXCC up
for HF.
The dipole tunes reasonably well, and has fairly good swr's on 10, 15, 20,
and 40 meters. As for 80 meters, the antenna is quite narrow, so is
adjusted for the very upper part of the CW band segment, and the lower part
of the SSB segment.
If we could work it out, I think it'd really be fun to try our little blind
hams net like we did last Winter. I think 40 meter ssb or CW would really
be a blast to try from out here.
Week-ends are still best for me, because of work, so maybe we could try
something late on a Sunday, like we did before.
This is just a suggestion, and if there isn't sufficient interest, that's ok
too.
