Hi;
True I suspect we will never agree on this issue. I was never a fan of audible signals but if they help a few folks what's the harm?
As for software, I tried asking gw micro what questions to ask to see if their software would work with a companies programs. The bottom line was just try it.
I have twice with rather dismal results. The real question might be would scripts or set files have made a seemingly difficult situation more manageable?
Our office hired lots of folks in their 60s or 70s primarily because they wanted the job for health insurance.
Finally how do we constructively work with yaesu tentec and maybe icom to make their radios more user friendly? How do we commend kenwood for the great job they have consistently done?
I still have a problem with the fact that tentec was number one with speech and their current stance is just get a computer, screen reader and hrd and are radios are totally usable.
Didn't mean to forget elcraft. From what I am told they too disserve a thumbs up.
