Well, Anthony, I've heard TS480's that sound good to me, so I guess it 
all boils down to personal preference.

I really need to experiment more with those TX equalization settings, but 
don't have the time right now.

My ultimate goal would be to see if I could borrow a Heil gold line from 
someone around here and try it on the 480 if that could be arranged.

Again, though, it's just a matter of time.

When I had my TS-480 I couldn't shape the audio the way I wanted it to
sound.

No matter what I did.

I even went out and bought an MC-60.

I had grounding issues with that mic.

It could be because I was using a Carolina Windom.

But, I just wasn't happen with the radio.
