Rick,
Before we beat the subject to death, I'll give you one more piece of
unsolicited advice:
If you ever need to remove the cover of your amp, remember that there are
lethal voltages present inside. Even with it unplugged, turned off and
sitting in your front yard, it can still kill you. Parts like bleeder
resistors can be bad after so many years, or perhaps it wasn't assembeled
100% correct in the first place.
This isn't high voltage like getting zapped by a spark plug wire while
working on your father's Buick. This is smoke out of your ears, hair on
fire, D.O.A. high voltage.
