Jerry,

CWtype and CWget are  programs I used with Jaws some years ago.  You can 
guess from the names, one is for decoding and the other for TX.   For some 
reason I couldn't cut and paste the link, but Google either CWtype, CWget, 
or DXsoft and you will get a ton of hits.

A lot of modern logging programs offer the ability to send CW via the 
keyboard.  A number of guys on the list use either XMlog or N3FJP's AC log. 
Both can  Send CW.

For interfacing,  there are lots of  simple 1 transistor or opto isolator 
circuits on the net, or plenty of places to buy  pre-made.  I know offhand 
that the docs for the CWtype software has a circuit description.  I think 
N3FJP's page  has circuits and premades for sale.


My TS-2000 is interfaced via a  simple circuit built into the shell of a 
db-9 connector, plugged into  a open serial port on the pc.  Cable from 
this  thing goes to the key jack  on the rear of the rig.  I use a y adapter 
here so the pc and the straight key can share the key jack.
