This evening, I was tuning 30 meters and heard W3FF calling CQ. He was sending slant something but he faded the first time I heard him so I missed what he was saying. I heard him call CQ again so I answered him. He was sending W#FF portable Bike. You heard me. Bike, as in bicycle? He was in California. He was running, if I got it all correctly, I will know when I get his card, 7 watts output and a vertical, he said, of sorts, whatever that means. We signed as he was pulling into his driveway. I've worked guys on 2 meters riding their motorcycle but this is the first QRP and first bike mobile I have worked any place.

Phil.
