Hi, folks.

I forgot to tell everyone another thing I found out today when researching
my prospective TMV71A purchase.

I called R and L Electronics, since they seemed to have the best price, and
asked them if they would install the VGS1 voice chip for me, since I'm a
blind ham.

They said they'd install it for me, but it'd cost me $24.

Hmmmmmmm:

Whatever happened to the idea of free installations of voice chips for blind
hams like us?

Wonder if too many people took advantage of the offer, who shouldn't have.

So, guess I'll just order the chip, and install it myself, which I've done
previously with some difficulty.

I think I'm still going to buy the rig from R and L, since their prices are
the best, but I have to admit that I am now a bit disappointed with R and L.
