There are times when I think we've lost most of the ground we gained
with the ADA. *sighs* IMHO, there are too many people trying to expand
the scope of the ADA when it should be narrowed to those who are truly
disabled - I know this is not a popular view, but I can't help but
feel we have been hurt by this. I think we need a firm and concrete
definition of "disability" as the ADA is awfully broad in its
language. I know they were trying to help as many people as possible,
but now the tide has turned, not the least because of the current
financial crisis which forces budget cuts that affects the most
vulnerable of us all.
