Hi Bobby.

There are two versions of the TS480.  Probably the 200 watt radio would 
draw that much but the TS480SAT should only require around 20 amps.

Sorry, I don't have a phone number for Kenwood but I feel very comfortable 
in telling you to go with that 20 amp figure.  I usually like to pick a 
supply, though, where that 20 amps falls within the continuous duty rating 
of the power supply.  It isn't as critical if you are just running SSB, but 
if you do a lot of CW or FM, I'd pick a huskier supply.  Something like the 
Astron RS35A or an equivalent switching supply (I can't think of a specific 
model at the moment) should do the trick.  Some of those Samlex supplies 
seem to be popular on this list, and should do the job.
