not sure who that was in reference to, but where I live, I get out of area
fees or what ever it is they charge above and beyond the normal, to the
point where, when you add in the fact I'm not near anything, owning a car
would come out to be about the same and if you're like my family, find the
best peace of junk that runs you can and run it until it dies, usually in
the $50 to $500 range, it's a lot cheaper than taking a cab daily or close
to it. I'm sure I'm not the only one in that boat, not to mention one of our
cab companies is known for running a little drug business on the side though
I guess they're more careful about it since 3 drivers OD'd on the job about
4 or 5 years ago. Where I was on vacation last year was great, $5 got you
anywhere your legs couldn't get you top price. I'm out of here in a year or
so when I'm done with college, that area's way too expensive to live full
time but I'm sure I can work out something reasonable somewhere I'll be
happy and still stay out of major cities where I wouldn't be caught dead
living anyway.
