We had a similar challenge about twenty years ago in Ann Arbor. Unique furrier wall mural/advertising on the alley side of a Chinese restaurant was rapidly deteriorating to nothing. Damage was being caused by the excessive moisture coming thru the brick wall. Owner agree to have it repainted, replicated, with a graffiti protective coating to keep the look and context. The new mural/sign has held up well, but the Chinese restaurant is long gone.
