For sure replace the power supply. 5 years is a long time for even the most
sturdy PS, and they get a bit tired and weak after a while, unable to supply
their rated output, or supply it cleanly. I would say go up to 500 or 600
watts, or even bigger to handle the load of a quad CPU. Graphics rendering
programs are almost as hungry resource-wise as 3D gaming, so think like a
gamer when you rebuild.
