Flax seeds or meal does wonders!
It's probably better to use the meal because I have read somewhere that the
pointy
ends of the flax seeds may perforate the intestinal membrane. I recently
stopped using whole seeds, tried psyllium and then, back to flax
meal.

Subject: Digestive Supplementation - staying regular?
Hello everyone
What do you guys supplement with/eat, if anything, to ensure regularity? I
want to keep regular but I'm sure as other has found, our diet CAN create
some heavy duty deposits in the old WC. After talking to a number of people,
including my doctor I've been told I consume too much fibre [since my diet
is basically meat, fish, some fruit and raw veg] - I probably consume too
much of one type of fibre [soluble or insoluble, I never remember] - I
recently had to take some laxatives called Senokot which work quite well,
but I'm hoping to add something to my daily supplementation that keeps me
regular!
Recently it's been a bit troublesome due to some unusual hungry pangs which
resulted in me eating larger portions than usual [could be the weather?]
Advice please :)
